A PHONE

Dear talking phone
You take my voice around the world
And get strange voices right into my ear
I smile, I laugh, I scream on you
But sometimes sad of what you say
You keep me close to the loved ones far
You let me know that they are fine
I keep you close and you keep me close
To my closest ones I dear not to miss
I miss u when am not with you
I make sure you are on and battery full
When you are off, i get stuck and out of reach
I miss their chats, I miss their laughs and I miss the gist of my dearest ones

This Visitor Doesn't Knock

He is a stranger we don’t acquaint
And a visitor man doesn’t want
He makes a soul departs its form
To dwell in a place a soul had earned
He takes a soul in every way
Asleep, awake, conscious or not
He takes the old and takes the young
He spears no soul when its time is due
Are you aware that the clock does tick?
And at every tick, He is closing up
On you and me without a break
It’s an ending world we have to leave
To go back home where we belong
And tell The Lord what we have done
But what have we earned on our record books?
Raqib and Atid don’t miss a deed
Performed in dark or broad day light
We still can breathe Alhamdulillah
We’ve got the chance to earn more goods
And erase the bads that we have done
Izra’il doesn’t knock on any door
No guards or wealth can stand his way
Munkar and Nakeer are waiting too
At the silent yard and below the grown
There in the grave man is on-his-own.
No guard, no power or a bribe to give
Ridwan and Malik are waiting too
One guard the heaven and one guards the Hell
The home of Peace and the home of Doom
May we live in peace and leave in peace
