Pain after pain laboured
Wound after wound healed
Cry after cry all nights
Sleep after sleep deprived
Drunk like a hangover felt
Feed after feed all hurts
Feed you must or we both hurt
Love after love we bond
Days after days you grow
Smile after smile I can’t have enough of you
Time after time you will not let go of me
Bath after bath adorned
Tap after tap you clapped
Dap after dap you crawled
Step after step you walked
Play after play you learned
Hug after hug you yearned
Da after da you began
Ma after ma I yearn
Word after word you spoke
Song after song we sang
Roll after roll we played
Walk after walk we left
Mile after mile we went
Year after year you grew
Term after term you schooled
Break after break we rejoiced
School after school you changed
Friends after friends you made
Tell after tell I hear
Grown you have dear child
Away you have to be most times

Kindness upon kindness u must show
Brave you must be out there
